Chicago Writers Conference in 8 Blog Posts

Clearly, we’re fans of lucky number 8. We can’t seem to escape it. This time, we have eight blog posts written by speakers and attendees that convey what CWC 2013 was all about. Dig in! They’ve added some of the great advice they learned while attending the conference.

Writer and attendee Shala Howell wrote three different blog posts about CWC that range from learning to love Twitter, what to do with finished manuscripts, and self-publishing:

“How the Chicago Writers Conference Taught Me to Stop Hating Twitter”

“”Is My Book Done Yet?” Notes from the 2013 Chicago Writers Conference, Part 1″

“My Book’s Done. What’s Next? Notes from the Chicago Writers Conference, Part 2”

Editor Cassandra Greenwald wrote before and after attending CWC:

“Too Many Tabs Open: Bouncing from Chicago VeganMania to the Chicago Writers Conference”

“Be the Ideal Audience: Creativity and Live Performance”

Freelance journalist and columnist Tessa Wegert used Mary Robinette Kowal’s talk on writing methods to blog about productivity tools:

“Write or Die: 5 Online Writing Tools to Boost Your Productivity”

Panelist Samantha Hoffman wrote a top 10 list of what she learned at CWC:

“10 Things I Learned at the Chicago Writers Conference”

Speaker Patricia Ann McNair talked about sex in fiction, and her talk got rave reviews from attendees. You can find some of the tips she covered during her session on this post:

“Sex Is Messy, and That’s Okay”
