Get Ready to Party With a Purpose!

It’s time for Chicago Writers Conference annual fundraiser, Party With a Purpose! CWC and fellow literary lovers are taking over Mary’s Attic on August 12 for a festive evening. Each ticket includes:

  • One drink
  • Appetizers
  • Silent auction
  • Live entertainment

Enjoy readings from 2014 CWC speakers Christine Sneed and Eric Charles May. The Q Brothers will also perform their fantastic hip-hop renditions of Shakespeare’s greatest plays.

Proceeds benefit year-round programming and, more importantly, scholarships to this year’s conference. “In the past, we were able to offer ten scholarships,” said Executive Director, Mare Swallow. “This year, we’re doubling our efforts and giving twenty scholarships to Open Books and 826CHI literacy tutors.”

Tickets are $50 each, $90 for two.

Can’t make it but want to support our efforts? You can still make a donation. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. We can’t wait to party with you on August 12!

Regular Registration for the 2014 Chicago Writers Conference is now open!
