Cancellation Policy

For Conference Attendees:

If you wish to transfer your registration to another individual, rather than cancel, please email us at contact[at]chicagowritersconference.org.

There is no fee to transfer your registration. Please provide the name, email, and phone number of the person who will take your place.

Requests for refunds of Conference Fees must be submitted in writing via snail mail to:

Requests must be received by August 31, 2016 at 11:59 pm. A $75 cancellation fee will be charged. After August 31, 2016, no refunds or credits will be issued for any reason. Refunds will be credited to your credit card or sent within six weeks after they are received.

Note that only conference registration fees are refundable; there are no refunds or credits for add-ons including pitchfest, practice pitches, small sessions, or intensive workshops.

We are not able to provide refunds for no-shows or cancellation (last-minute or otherwise) due to illness, travel, work, family, inclement weather, emergent situations, or any other reason outside our control. No credits will be given for no-shows or last-minute cancellations.

There will be no refunds or credits issued after August 31, 2016 for any reason.

CWC reserves the right to change or cancel any speaker and/or session without notice.
