The Chicago Writers Association is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the 4 C’s of writing: creativity, commerce, craft and community. They share our love of the Chicago writing community and CWC is excited that CWA will be part of the conference!

CHIRP RadioThe Chicago Independent Radio Project (CHIRP)

We’re excited to have The Chicago Independent Radio Project as our media sponsor and partner! As long-time fans and listeners of CHIRP, CWC couldn’t be happier about this partnership. The Columbia College Chicago Fiction Writing Department, home to the nationally renowned Story Workshop® approach to the teaching of writing, Story Week Festival of Writers is one of the largest, most exciting creative writing programs in the country.

The Fiction Writing Department offers a BA and BFA in Fiction Writing (with specializations in fiction, creative nonfiction, playwriting, publishing, electronic applications, and teaching), and a BA and BFA in Playwriting, along with graduate MFA in Creative Writing—Fiction, MA in the Teaching of Writing, and Combined Degree programs. The program offers writers the opportunity to develop their craft and work toward their professional goals in a part-time graduate degree program. Students may choose from a wide range of scheduling options in a master of arts or a master of fine arts program that combines the best features of both on-campus and low-residency creative writing programs. The Chicago Writers Conference is very proud to announce that we are officially partnering with Open Books!  As some of you may already know, Open Books is a nonprofit social enterprise right here in Chicago. The Writers WorkspaceThe Writers Workspace

CWC is especially grateful for the support of The Writers Workspace where the CWC team has shot Kickstarter videos and planned and developed the conference for the past year. The Writers Workspace provides members a comfortable, inspiring environment so writers can concentrate on their creative work. WWS has many accomplished and published fiction and nonfiction authors as well as other writing professionals working out of its space. WWS is located on the north side of Chicago near Andersonville and Edgewater and is close to public transportation.
