Special Evening Events During the Conference

Chicago is full of literary talent, and we want to celebrate it. We’ve set up two special evening events just for conferees and speakers, hosted by local live lit stars, Tuesday Funk and Essay Fiesta. Note: Events are free for conference attendees, but you must have a ticket to enter. Links to free tickets will be emailed to all attendees after September 7.

Tuesday Funk is an eclectic Chicago reading series bringing you a variety of fiction, poetry, and essays the first Tuesday of every month.  Conference Attendees can join us for a special Tuesday Funk (on a Friday!) at Open Books Bookstore.  The reading will kick off at 7:30. Arrive early to shop, mingle, and dine at the Samich Box food truck, parked outside Open Books.  Event is BYO.
